Saturday Dec 1st some of us AFPers will be painting live downtown in the former Wild About Music building. Strings Monet will be playing along with an accordion player or two. Painters will be painting them as the play. Or better yet, painting pictures of them as they play. Brought to you by the newly renamed AAA

And for First Thursday Dec 6th it will be the AFP vs. Ellen Bartel and her Butoh Dancing. We will paint her as she slowly creeps along all Butohesqueularly. Then we’ll paint a bunch of portraits of some of our regular models from the AFG.

And just 2 days later Chris Chappell and I have our big show over at the Davis Gallery. We are insufferably proud of this and have lost all of our friends because of our high fallootin’ attitudes. Whatever, eat some cake. http://davisgalleryaustin.com

Wednesday there’s some art thing at the Salvage Vanguard Theater that my false sister Karen Raymond talked me into going to. That’s right I ended with a preposition. I don’t care.

Friday will be whatever it ends up being, 7:30-9:30pm+ Free to all.

December 1st the Art Alliance of Austin will be having a street thing on Congress for the Xmas stuff (tree lighting, street performances of the Nutcracker, Jack Frost roasting on an open fire…) and the AFP has been selected to provide a painting demonstration in the former “Wild About Music” building. We’ll be painting the members of the Stelly Hall Quartet as they perform in there. The gutted building may be open to the public, or the public may be watching through the picture windows. If you want in on this please email me. We’ll do a show of those paintings later on at the AFG, or possibly even at the new AAA facility.

There will also be a little kid mural painting thing a block north of that, and we get to help the kids paint. I get more out of that than just about anything. Let me know if you’re interested in this, also. Hello Jessica and Miranda. I know you’re good with little kids.

Schleckford’s comic book coming-out party is next Wednesday (the 14th) at Rio Rita, and if you’re cool you’ll be there. He hates the Lolcats, but oddly enough sent me this; http://www.metafilter.com/66160/LULZ-Wherever-You-Browse

He’s converting. I just know it. He recently came out of the bacon closet.

The Good Life Magazine did a nice article about the gallery;

Complete with a Led Zeppelin reference. Woo hoo.
