Coming up in October, the AFP live painting demo at Laguna Gloria http://www.amoa.org/site/PageServer?pagename=ladolcevita Show of those paintings will be on November 24th at the Staires Gallery. Artists will be Megan Jaster, Matchi, Phillip Wade, Miranda Mueller (pronounced ‘mil-ler’), and Lin Rich. The model will be angelic, in a late 1940’s sort of way. Miranda Mueller (pronounced ‘may-lur’) will be eaten alive by insects out there because she has sugar blood.

Sorry for the no-email-Monday yesterday. I had the day off and no computer at home. Did you pine? I know you pined for an AFG email.

Tonight is Lee and possibly Jessie.

Tomorrow night is Mr. Egnot and his Snarkling, dressed up all crazy like they do. And Joe will be sporting his accordion. Both of them are also AFP artists. We may get a scooter that night, too. For the scooter thing at Alien. We are entering the realm of surrealism.

Thursday is Laura Moliter’s Agave thing.

Upcoming other stuff;

Cowboy Harley would like for the AFP painters to come out to their anniversary party and paint people on motorcycles. Nicole Richard is in charge of this but will be out all this week. So I won’t have all the details until she gets back. The event will be the 20th of next month.

I’m booking the Stelly Hall Quartet to do a collaboration with us like the Spankdance thing. No date yet. I’m also trying to hire them to play at some of our painting sessions like maybe the first Monday of every month. They’re so much better than a CD player.

Still working on the chopper thing.

Last night Kim Huey (the model for the evening who is also one of the AFP painters) sold a painting in between sittings.

Do a self portrait for the Sept 1st show. All the cool kids are doing it.

The cool kids from the projects next to the AFG dropped of a bizarre painting that sucked out most of Schliefke’s soul before I threw it in the dumpster. It was signed “Stephen King.” Really. God only knows what residual evil lurks in the couch it was propped up on.
